For Students Seeking a “Total Immersion” Experience
Viva Spanish School is located in a typical family neighborhood in Managua, and several of our neighbors offer homestay accommodations to our students. Staying with a Nicaraguan family will improve your Spanish and will open your eyes to many aspects of Nicaraguan culture. This experience will help you better understand the Nicaraguan way of life.
We recommend that all of our students, when possible, stay with a local family for at least some of their course. You will have your own room but share meals and family time together. While a homestay is not for everyone (the homestays have very basic comforts), it is generally a very enlightening and fulfilling experience for those who choose this option.

3 meals per day usually eaten with the family.
Price
US $140 per person per week (7 nights).
We can make special arrangements for couples, families and part-time homestays (eg. Monday-Friday or weekends only).
Hotel/Hostels

Other Options
Viva has an alliance with Supernova Rentals, a real estate agency that offers long and short term rental services. All our students get a special discount with them, you can rent a house or an apartment in Managua and even on the beach.
