Homestay
A great cross-cultural experience!
Staying with a Nicaraguan family will not only improve your Spanish but will open your eyes to a whole new culture and way of life. Sharing with the people of Nicaragua you will come to understand many cultural aspects and learn how to fit into local life.
We recommend that all of our students, where possible, stay with a local family for at least some of their course. You will have your own room but share meals and family time together. While a homestay is not for everyone (the homestays have very basic comforts and are located in the heart of the city), it is generally a very enlightening and fullfilling experience for those who chose this option.
For many people that want to “ease into Nicaragua”, a good option that you may want to consider is to stay at the guesthouse for your first week and then move onto a family homestay. Click on the “Guesthouse“ button for more information.
